The Satellite Applications Catapult will be running a series of Roadshow events throughout the UK during February and March 2016 to engage with Space and non-Space sector audiences about the growing opportunities offered by satellite technologies.

The Roadshow will start in Glasgow on 23 February, and then visit Newcastle, Manchester, Leicester, Oxford, Belfast, Exeter, Cardiff and Portsmouth over the following four weeks, before ending in Norfolk on 23 March.

Stuart Martin, CEO of the Satellite Applications Catapult, said: “Whether you work within or outside the Space sector, whether you’re an “old friend” or new to the Catapult, we’d be delighted to welcome you along.

“We’re keen to share news of our achievements, as well as those of our extended network and wider UK Space sector. We also want to understand what challenges people are experiencing in their day-to-day business activities, and suggest how satellite technology could be used to address these issues in a cost-effective and highly productive way.”

Attendees will receive updates on the Catapult’s successes, programmes and future strategy, as well as hear from business innovation experts on the expanding UK Space sector. Local keynote speakers will also be presenting their new satellite technology-based initiatives.

Each location will feature one of the Catapult’s themed programme areas – Blue Economy, Intelligent Transport Systems, Sustainable Living and Explore Technology – with delegates encouraged to contribute to a roundtable discussion, either about the featured programme area or business support (including access to funding, intellectual property, and data security). There will also be time for networking, lunch and questions at each event.
