Lynne is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, having trained at Deloitte & Touche as an auditor. She focussed on tax with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in London before establishing the tax function at Vodafone in 1994.
Lynne spent 11 years at Vodafone developing the tax function into a global operation supporting all aspects of the business as it grew from a UK-focussed mobile network operator to a global provider of communication solutions, both through organic development and acquisitions, and was intimately involved in the Group’s strategic development, financing corporate development and UK, EU and wider fiscal policy initiatives. After leaving Vodafone Lynne continued to focus on the communications sector in a finance, treasury and tax capacity with Colt, Skype and in supporting smaller communications, software and IT businesses in a consulting capacity. She then took up a role in a Global Family Office in Monaco, where she is now based, as Director of Corporate Finance with TBG Group – an industrial, technology and services focused privately owned group of companies. Lynne supports the Group on funding, tax, treasury and corporate development.
After leaving Vodafone Lynne continued to focus on the communications sector for a while in a broader finance, treasury and tax capacity with Colt, Skype and in supporting smaller communications, software and IT businesses in a consulting capacity. She then took up a role in a Global Family Office in Monaco & Switzerland responsible for all Corporate Development, Funding, Structuring and Investment Activities for the Family Office which was focused on other high-tech verticals in Oil and Gas, Electronics, Agriculture and Information Services as well as having $bn of financial assets and investments under management.
Lynne returned to the UK 2015 where since then she has developed her own strategic financial and business advisory consulting services, focused on supporting early stage emerging and enabling technologies, specifically Life Sciences, AI/Machine Learning, Intelligent Mobility systems and solutions, Software, Big Data, High Value Manufacturing and many other next generation activities helping them strategically and financially through access to Funding options. Lynne’s exposure to this emerging world stemmed from undertaking an CFO Interim role at Innovate UK, the UK’s Innovation Agency where she led on Finance Transformation and New Funding Instruments for SMEs.
Lynne is a linguist, speaking French, German and Spanish, and has a passion for polo and outdoor activities.
