Winning with Space: Competition Briefing Session (Glasgow)

29/05/2018 8:15 AM-9:15 AM

If you use satellite location tech (GPS) or satellite imagery in your business, join this breakfast briefing on the leading space ideas competitions to help you launch an idea, accelerate your business growth and make new connections across Europe.  You can win cash prizes and tailored business support packages with a chance to secure a place on their Accelerator programme.  You don’t have to be a ‘space business’.  We are looking to support ideas from any market sector from transport and aerospace, maritime and marine to agriculture, environmental management and location based services.  The competitions are open to individuals, startups and established businesses and there is a University Challenge for students and researchers.

In this briefing session, a team from the Scottish Centre of Excellence in Space Applications (SoXSA) and the Satellite Applications Catapult will give you an overview of the Copernicus Masters and the European Satellite Navigation Competition and you will hear from Beinn Bike, the 2017 Copernicus Masters University Challenge Winner.

08:15 – Breakfast on Arrival

08:30 – Welcome from SOXSA and Satellite Applications Catapult: Who are we and what do we do?

08:40 – Briefing on Copernicus Masters 2018

08:50 – Beinn Bike – University Challenge Winner 2017

08:55 – Briefing on European Satellite Navigation Competition

09:05 – Q&A

09:15 – Finish

We will be staying at Tontine until around 10.30 if anyone wants to discuss a potential idea in more detail.

We look forward to seeing you there.
