The Disruptive Innovation for Space Centre (DISC) houses a range of facilities to support the design, manufacture and testing of products for deployment into complex environments. DISC provides access to equipment and expertise to help you innovate and accelerate the development of new products and services.
With end-to-end design, modelling, testing and production equipment in a collaborative engineering environment, we can help you develop new solutions for large-scale market opportunities. DISC will enable teams to take an R&D project from proof of concept through to a full-sized prototype, manufactured at quality levels and scales sufficient to undertake end-customer validation.
With competitive rates available from as short as half a day to as long as a project requires, the facilities are open to industry and academia and provide equipment that is frequently out-of-reach to small or medium sized companies.
Please see below for the brochure showing all equipment currently available within DISC, and look out for the launch of the new addition to DISC due to open in Spring 2019 – a manufacturing and testing bespoke building a few minutes’ walk from the Catapult building. This will also house the Near-Field Range and software packages currently in the Catapult.
If you want to know more about how DISC could help you, and find out how this facility can potentially support your innovation and growth, please email: disc@sa.catapult.org.uk.
