Event Aim

Do you have an idea for a new product or service that uses satellite positioning, navigation and timing technology (e.g. GPS), or satellite Earth observation data? If so, in 2015, Europe’s leading space business competitions, the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) and the Copernicus Masters could help you accelerate your ideas into a commercial success.

The competitions are designed to support the development of new products and services offering a cash prize and comprehensive business support worth £10,000 to the UK winners of the ESNC with the chance to enter the ESNC European Grand Prize to win around £15,000 (€20,000). The Copernicus Masters is based around a series of challenges with a total prize pool of around £220,000 (€300,000) with each challenge winner entered into the European Grand Prize to win around £15,000 (€20,000).

To learn more about the competitions, hear from previous winners, and discuss your idea in confidence, the Catapult and Scottish Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications are hosting a discovery workshop to help you complete your entry. We are looking for ideas, not fully formed business plans at this stage, so if you’re a student, entrepreneur or established business with an innovative satellite application we want to hear from you.
