The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA16) returns in 2016, with the Space Zone providing the perfect opportunity for the International Space Community to discuss and meet, and encourage business in a forum that is now becoming recognised as one of the world’s leading space shows.
The Satellite Applications Catapult will be hosting two workshops to discuss the use of UAV and drone technology within the sector.
Realising the Commercial Opportunities for Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight Drones
This workshop involves two panel sessions with key stakeholders who are leading the UK initiative to realise the commercial opportunity from UAVs and drones.
10:30 – 11:15 Operational matters: Panel members from key government departments responsible for aviation safety, and industrial organisations working on platform technologies, will examine the approach being adopted to ensure safe beyond-visual-line-of-sight operation of UAVs.
11:30 – 12:15 Commercial matters: Panel members from key government departments that will be customers of new services and organisations that are responding to the opportunities will examine the business opportunities and roadmaps to exploitation of beyond-visual-line-of-sight operation of UAVs.
