Photonex is the UK’s showcase event dedicated to photonics: applied optical equipment, components, fibre optics, instrumentation, lasers, sensing, vision and light. The exhibition brings together industry and research to source the latest components, instruments and equipment, to develop business relationships and to research solutions and examine applications for photonics and technology for manufacturing.

Space Applications – photonics technologies and the workings of the space industry

On 16 October, the Satellite Applications Catapult is delighted to be sponsoring an industry conference event at Photonex entitled ‘Space Applications – photonics technologies and the workings of the space industry’.

As materials and designs have had to keep up with rapid advances in space technology in recent years, this meeting will include presentations on subjects of relevance to downstream applications, new opportunities for exploitation, physical and practical limitations. It will also considerWho’s who in the space industry, and how the space supply chain works.

This meeting will bring together leaders in industry, research institutes and universities to discuss the latest technology developments and new applications in space technology and applications.

Subjects to be covered include the future requirements in space hardware, the advancement of optical technology in telescopes, the role of TSB and STFC in funding and supporting hardware innovation and much more.

We are also pleased to be welcoming Glyndwr Innovations Ltd onto our stand during the exhibition.

Further details of this event can be found on http://www.photonex.org/conference/13/space-applications-meeting-at-photonex.html.
