We have worked with the Institute for Environmental Analytics to put together a special satellite training day for NERC funded Doctoral Training Partnership students on the availability and use of a variety of data from Earth observation (EO). The day is organised to cater for EO novices through to EO-based PhD and Early Career Researchers with specific technical requirements.

While primarily working with the many sources of freely available satellite and climate EO data, there will also be some introduction to commercially available data and to the satellite companies that provide it.

Participants will have the opportunity to work in small groups to explore specific satellite data to address different research needs, with some hands on training elements, led by subject experts from the Catapult.
