The Satellite Applications Catapult, along with partners from Defra’s Earth Observation Centre of Excellence and Aberystwyth University, hosted an event that brought together Earth Observation and GIS experts from academia, industry and government to explore a proposed standard for Sentinel-2 Analysis Ready Data (ARD).

The objectives of this workshop were  to inform on the current context of ARD activities – particularly in relation to Sentinel-2 – and to outline the work around a proposed processing chain based on the Atmospheric and Radiometric Correction of Satellite Imagery (ARCSI) software under this project. The event also aimed to start to build a community around Sentinel-2 ARD that can input to the requirements for a Sentinel-2 ARD product in an open, transparent and reiterative way.
