In the Autumn Statement, Oxfordshire was announced as one of the successful regions for the second wave of Science & Innovation Audits (SIA). SIAs are designed to map out local research, innovation and infrastructure strengths across the UK to ensure future investment is properly targeted. As part of the SIA, the Satellite Applications Catapult is holding a 1 day workshop to test the hypothesis:
“Oxfordshire will have 10,000 employees across the space-led data applications value chain by 2030 (UK space industry target of 100,000 jobs by 2030).”
To demonstrate that this hypothesis is feasible will require:
This will form the basis of the Space-led data applications theme within the Oxfordshire SIA, building on the existing ecosystem including organisations such as Satellite Applications Catapult, RAL Space, Science Technology Facilities Council, University of Oxford, Oxford Brooke’s University, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and European Space Agency’s Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications.
We would welcome organisations that have activities in Oxfordshire and would like to help shape the future of space-led data applications in Oxfordshire. Registration includes five questions relating to your organisation’s activities in Oxfordshire.
Spaces at this workshop are limited. Please register as soon as possible to secure a place.
