Hybrid Space North East Cascade and Network – October

Thursday 28 October 2021, 10am - 11:30am

Our Space North East Cascade and Networking event in October will be different…and quite possibly the last one to be held on a Thursday (more of that on another day).

Different because it will be a hybrid event: ‘in-person’ at our newly launched Space Enterprise Lab, and virtual for part of it. Whichever way you choose to join us, you will still have the chance to catch up on some of the latest space news, initiatives and events nationally and regionally, and also to network.

This month our local spotlight speakers are from Durham and Northumbria Universities on their recent successful funding application for a Laser Optical Communications for CubeSats project. We will also have a special focus on newly launched ESA funding call on ‘Space for Resilient Utilities’. A fuller briefing for this will be held as an ‘in-person’ session from 11.30am.

Paul Bhatia, ESA Ambassador for Business Applications in the Midlands and North East, will also be with us all afternoon at the Lab to run one-to-one coaching, advice and support to companies completing an APQ or interested in applying for the ESA Business Applications programme. If you would like to book an APQ ‘surgery’ session or a specific meeting time with Paul then get in touch with him directly at paul.bhatia@nottingham.ac.uk

If you have any queries relating to this event, please email elaine.scott@durham.gov.uk.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!
