Through the Satellite Applications Catapult’s work in LATAM, we have been requested to present solutions of how satellite enabled data intelligence can be used to optimise fruit and vegetable production for a large supplier. As part of this engagement, we would like to present leading products and services available through UK-based companies.
Companies are invited to present proposed solutions aimed at tackling the challenges described below to be presented to a fruit production company by the Catapult. This may have the potential to lead to a future project/ collaboration where the technology will be trialled and then implemented.
The company is managing and producing fruit and vegetables in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Spain, China, and Morocco.
At present, the company’s berry plantations are lacking:
technologies applied to agriculture (e.g. Meteorological Stations, Irrigation Systems, Fertirrigation, Control of pests, Machinery etc.);
technologies applied to represent agricultural tasks, (pruning, harvesting, thinning, pest monitoring, fleet control, application control, etc.);
technology applied to business administration (ERP).
The proposed solutions must present a platform or service that both generates and enables visualisation by users across at multiple scales of information, such as:
What we need from you
Proposals should be no more than 4 sides of A4 and aim to describe as clearly and concisely as possible the benefits of the relevant solution addressing how the solution can provide information based on the above requirements.
