OceanMind is a global not-for-profit organisation working to increase the sustainability of fishing worldwide by providing curated insights and intelligence on fishing compliance to the people who can most effectively use it to enforce existing regulations and promote sustainable fishing. To do this, we use computational analysis, including machine learning, and deliver intelligence reports to clients.

To be able to do all of this amazing work, we really need a talented developer (is that you?!) to come and join us to maintain and continually improve our data-driven software systems. These include a geospatial big-data analysis system built on Hadoop, Accumulo, and Geomesa with Java analytical applications; and a vessel identity database in the Azure cloud using CosmosDB, Web Jobs, Web APIs, and Azure SQL in C# .NET.

OceanMind is a startup, and as such the duties of the developer will be many and varied but will include a feature development and bug fixing.
