This is a role with direct impact on negotiating large scale contracts with important customers and their legal teams. The successful candidate will have the ability, confidence and resilience to work independently, deal with complex questions, and keep calm under pressure. You will also be a strong team player and able to form relationships across industry and with other in-house legal teams.
The successful candidate shall help to ensure that the Catapult is compliant with all laws and regulations and that any changes in domestic law or EU Directives and Regulations are identified in advance so that the Catapult can amend its policies and procedures in contemplation of changes. The successful candidate shall also the Catapult’s IP including overseeing identification, disclosure and dissemination.
The successful candidate will work alongside senior management and leadership in furthering the Catapult’s interests and to provide advice on contentious and non-contentious matters and take charge of the resolution of actual and potential disputes, conflicts and litigation.
The successful candidate shall help ensure that the Catapult is aware of all commercial risk prior to entering into it and where possible, mitigating it through its contractual arrangements.
The successful candidate will help ensure companywide compliance with regard to the Catapult’s policies on data protection, compliance, security, anti-bribery and IP.
