Market Intelligence Analyst

 

Satellite Applications Catapult is a unique not-for-profit organisation looking at ways how to grow the UK economy within the Space sector. Space is one of the fastest growing industries and our Strategy team is now looking for a Market Intelligence Analyst to coordinate our market intelligence sources and support market analysis across the Catapult in support of new programmes and initiatives.

Analysis is provided for the purpose of accurate and confident decision-making in determining strategy in areas such as market opportunity and market strategy.

As an amazing addition to our team you are a natural problem solver and have an analytical mind. You are an excellent communicator both verbal and visual and you have previous experience in negotiating and influencing stakeholders. You love working in a team and collaborative environment and learning new things every day. You possess excellent digital fluency in word processing, spreadsheets, graphs etc. Ideally, you will have had the opportunity to apply all of the above in a relevant work experience and most of all, whilst you may not be an industry specialist, you have keen interest in Space and you cannot wait to start!

Still not sure, here’s a taster what we’d expect you to get involved with:

  • Identifying sources of market intelligence for specified market sector(s) and/or technologies identified by Catapult staff (particularly business directors).
  • Distilling large volumes of information into short, punchy summaries of relevant information in appropriate format without skewing the facts.
  • Developing reports or other forms of output (e.g. tables, graphs) as requested and agreed.
  • Recommendations for new sources of regular intelligence in relevant sectors.
  • Undertaking short studies and surveys as needed.
  • Developing effective and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to enhance the productivity and the impact of the intelligence function.
  • Working collaboratively across the Catapult to ensure innovation and creativity.
  • Positively contribute to the Catapult culture through living the values of Pioneering, Agile, Collaboration, Entrepreneurial (PACE), leading by example and being a role model Catapult staff.

This is a permanent role directly with Satellite Applications Catapult. We are based in Harwell with great public transport connections from all of Oxfordshire as well as London. We offer competitive salaries with annual reviews, end of a financial year bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus all your bank holidays paid for as an extra.
