OceanMind is a business unit of the Satellite Applications Catapult and provides unbiased, independent monitoring, verification and validation of fishing behaviour, and is working to increase the sustainability of fishing globally. Our advanced system uses state of the art technology in conjunction with specialist fisheries analysts to provide detailed, actionable insight, tailored to our customers’ needs. The role is to ensure the stable, ongoing operation of our big data analytics solutions. This will involve monitoring systems, automating systems administration tasks, developing operational support services, deploying and maintaining software, developing scripts to manage and maintain environments, developing services to support our software (such as ETL for data sources), data management, deployment of new data processing nodes, supporting the users, and anything else needed to ensure that the technical operations of the business continue uninterrupted.
The role is office-based, at the Satellite Applications Catapult’s offices in Harwell, Oxford.
