Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire

Responsible to: Head of Operational Services

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, 3 month probation and 1 month notice

Holiday: 28 days per annum, plus statutory holidays.

The Role

The Senior Operational Services Administrator will join the busy operations team; this will be a varied role, in which the successful candidate will need to be able to multi-task, juggling various aspects of their role at any one point.

The primary role will be to support the Head of Operational Services, so it is imperative that this candidate has excellent customer service skills and confidence to meet with customers.

Very strong in administration and process driven, you will be required to learn month end statistic reporting and ensure all details are captured accurately.

You will be responsible for the day to day checks of several operational services (websites) and will be responsible for preparing reports and collating feedback. You will report and record issues and follow up with technical staff to ensure resolutions.

An important part of the role will include completing all internal ISO audits for our newest facility – the far field antenna test range. Training will be provided, but previous knowledge on ISO and internal ISO audits would be very advantageous.

Working alongside the Meeting and Events Coordinator, you will become familiar with the end to end facility booking process and will act as backup / assist during holidays and busy periods, ensuring all facility bookings are taken care of; This will include creating quotations and assisting with tours of facilities. Taking meeting room / facility bookings and ensuring that all customer requirements are captured and met.

Assisting the Building Services Lead with Health and Safety training requirements; following up with staff to ensure that everyone has completed their training.

The Administrator will be required to assist every part of the Operations department, this will include occasionally covering the Catapult Reception; ensuring that the building (offices, kitchen, meeting rooms and facilities) are all kept clean and tidy as well as many other ad-hoc tasks.

  • MS office – advanced word knowledge
  • Attention to detail

  • ISO experience; internal ISO auditing a huge advantage
  • H&S knowledge
