The Satellite Applications Catapult are looking for a senior facilitator to join the Government Services team, which will involve working on the Space for Smarter Government Programme (SSGP). SSGP is a strategic, national programme established in 2014 and led by the government UK Space Agency (UKSA) and delivered in collaboration with the Satellite Applications Catapult to drive the uptake and use of satellite enabled products, data and services across the public sector.
The role of the senior facilitator is to identify opportunities within government departments for improving services and service delivery through the increased use of satellite enabled services. The senior facilitator will be expected to represent the Catapult and SSGP viewpoints with confidence and in various settings. There will also be an expectation to support the development of the Government Services at the Catapult and shape the related projects into a cohesive topic or thread.
Required Skills and Experience
This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who believes that they can demonstrate the aptitude to work in this exciting and challenging environment. An ability to adapt and learn new skills is a prerequisite. The senior facilitator will work with government department/business departments to understand the context of requirements and develop solutions; and is already or is willing to become an individual who is passionate about enabling the uptake of sustainable satellite applications for the non-commercial sector.
