Technical Architect

 

Satellite Applications Catapult has an amazing opportunity for a focused, target driven Technical Architect to join the newly re-formed Geospatial Intelligence team. You would work on projects like IPP Common Sensing, the largest common sensing project in the UK, playing an integral role in leading a technical team in requirements capture and designing technical solutions to highly complex problems.

It is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about space, looking to broaden their international connections and would ideally suit someone with significant experience in managing and delivering complex technical roadmaps with key focus on leading the design and specification of all system components considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.

Ideally you will be MSc qualified or have significant relevant experience, you are familiar with the Space sector and passionate about its possibilities. You are an excellent communicator and have significant experience in managing stakeholders of all levels of seniority. You love working with people and are able to translate technical challenges to non-technical people. You have previous experience in leading small technical teams in agile project environment and never shy away from a  challenge.

This is a permanent role directly with Satellite Applications Catapult. We are based in Harwell with great public transport connections from all of Oxfordshire as well as London. We offer competitive salaries with annual reviews, end of a financial year bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus all your bank holidays paid for as an extra. Our pension scheme is competitive with a maximum of 10% contribution from us if you put in 5% and to top it all off, we have a private medical insurance as a benefit in kind.
