The Scottish Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications, SoXSA, is bringing space down to Earth. SoXSA has an end-to-end focus on the use of satellite derived data and services to challenge conventional ideas and develop new concepts in the exploitation of space for the betterment of life on Earth. This end-to-end philosophy enables new space mission technologies that deliver new space-based data products and services in response to user needs. Through this, SoXSA seeks to foster cooperation, economic growth, and launch new opportunities.
SoXSA’s mission is to facilitate collaboration between academia, industry and public sector with a focus on connecting the space sector in Scotland with other sectors and industries. To best deliver this mission, SoXSA is a delivery partner of the UK Space Agency, the Satellite Applications Catapult and works with Scottish Enterprise, whose missions are to stimulate economic growth across the UK.
