SoXSA recently attended the UK Space Conference 2019, a 3 day networking conference and exhibition for the UK space sector and open to those who wish to engage with the space sector.
SoXSA along with Business Gateway, Glasgow City Council, Huli, Nudge Exchange, Trade in Space and Braided Communications, all came together under the Glasgow City Innovation District (GCID) exhibition stand.
GCID is a joint venture of Glasgow city council, the University of Strathclyde, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurial Scotland and forms part of Glasgow’s economic strategy to create 50,000 new jobs and 1,000 businesses by 2023.
SoXSA are based in the Technology & Innovation Centre and the other companies, Trade in Space, Nudge Exchange and Braided Communications, are based in Tontine, both buildings are situated within the GCID.
SoXSA was involved in organising the Space 101 sessions at the conference and was able to invite along companies involved in the SoXSA-run space incubuator programme to speak at the conference. Some of the incubator programme alumni were at the conference as well with their own exhibition stands and presenting in sessions.
