ASK Astronomy Evening

Ambitious plans for a space-themed visitor centre in the heart of Scotland are underway.  The plan is to create a family-orientated aviation and space themed educational hub and visitor centre which could attract some 60,000 visitors a year. It would comprise a fully immersive 3D planetarium, flight simulator, airsports showcase, lecture theatre, retail space and restaurant, creating around 40 jobs.

Spend an enjoyable and informative evening as Alisdair Stewart, chairman of Aero Space Kinross, will be giving an update on this project, and guest speakers Steve Owens, Glasgow Science Centre’s very own Planetarium Manager will be exploring astrophysics, as well as Jimmy Slaughter from the Scottish Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications to discuss satellite applications.
You can see more information and register for this event on Eventbrite.
Date: 16 March 2017
