The Satellite Applications Catapult aims to empower businesses in the exploitation of new and emerging satellite services, to achieve our own vision “To innovate for a better world powered by satellites”. Food security is a domestic challenge but is a global endeavor and requires international collaboration and coordination. We have a unique position as the Satellite Applications Catapult to leverage out Neutral Trusted Entity (NTE) status to orchestrate the collaborative effort among leading Agri-food stakeholders from Government, Industry and Academia across the globe.
The integration of Satellite Services with Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems is beginning to create game-changing solutions across the global food system. Working with the Head of Agriculture and reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, as a Satellite Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders around the world from across the agricultural supply chain to understand their business and research challenges.
The role will allow you to operate on senior level with strategic input and you will contribute your own expertise to a multi-disciplinary team in order to influence the market trajectories by integrating advanced technologies into novel and disruptive solutions that create an edge to enhance business competitiveness.

You will have worked within the agricultural sector, be degree educated in a relevant discipline engineering / science / information technology / robotics / mechatronics etc. and have significant experience with one or more of the key technology areas (Artificial Intelligence / Autonomous Systems / Satellite Services). You are used to working at a senior level, are self-starting, and embrace the responsibility and accountability that comes with decision-making. As an excellent communicator, you are able to identify and secure interests of research and commercial organisations to create powerful partnerships able to deliver solutions.

Quick facts: This is a permanent role directly with Satellite Applications Catapult. We are based in Harwell with great public transport connections from all of Oxfordshire as well as London. We offer competitive salaries with annual reviews, end of a financial year bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus all your bank holidays paid for as an extra.
