In collaboration with AHDB, Satellite Applications Catapult has co-produced an overview of the opportunities that the space sector can offer to agriculture and farming. Focussing mostly on Earth Observation (EO) data, the review gives an explanation of the plethora of ways in which satellites can provide solutions to common problems faced in agriculture and farming in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency through prediction of in-season yields, estimating the timing of harvest, and controlling pests among other things.
