Introduction

Our Business Evolution sprints are strategically targeted 121 engagements centred around supporting high potential businesses. They have been designed and developed by the Catapult based on our 10 years of space innovation commercialisation experience to deliver value to businesses at various stages of development, from early stage to large and well-established firms, focused on commercialising innovative satellite-based solutions.

They are targeted at businesses that are creating impactful and novel applications underpinned by satellite technology, who are at an inflection point such as commercialising a new product, targeting a new market, or scaling up their operations. We are looking for areas where we can have the biggest impact on the business, and where the business can have the biggest impact on the world.

The commercial value of each Sprint is approximately £15k, however, there are numerous funding routes available for UK businesses to access these sessions with no up-front cost. Please reach out to our team to find the pathway most suitable to your business.

WHAT SPRINT SESSIONS LOOK LIKE

We start with a Diagnostic Session, working with you to determine what support areas will be of most value in alignment with the company’s ambitions and capabilities. We then propose a schedule for 3 x 3 hour sessions to be run in-person or remotely. These sessions will bring together design, business, and technical experts to deliver a bespoke package to support your business. Following this, a summary report will be written and delivered to the business outlining strategic recommendations.

The support is centred on the sprint sessions, which are high-energy and high-intensity session, during which the company and relevant Catapult experts go through the agreed topics using human-centred design inspired canvases to quickly explore them and find practical solutions. We guide organisations through the process in a streamlined, effective way that gets results – fast.

The output can vary according to the needs of the company, but it is usually a slide-deck outlining the key insights and recommendations from the sprint session.

Sessions can be delivered both in person and virtually.
