The UK Government will establish a National Space Council later this year.
The National Space Council will be led by the UK Government and will develop a new National Space Framework that will provide strategic leadership on space across government, coordinate all aspects of the UK’s space strategy, investment and use of space. The National Space Framework will consist of 3 priority areas of prosperity and knowledge, security and protection, and global influence.
The decision from the government to focus on growing space in the UK, coupled with the funding to develop a horizontal spaceport in Newquay highlights their commitment to space and the prosperity from space strategy.
