Catapult showcasing at the UK Space Conference

The Satellite Applications Catapult will be playing an active role at the UK Space Conference 2015, which takes place at Liverpool’s Arena and Convention Centre on 14-15 July. The conference, held biennially, attracts delegates from across the UK and international space community, as well as from sectors that are taking an increasing interest in the benefits space applications and technologies can bring to their organisations.
On Tuesday 14th, the Catapults will be showing their activities during the afternoon sessions when the Transport Systems, Future Cities and Digital Catapults are joining forces with Satellite Applications to discuss how space applications and services impact so many activities across the Catapult programme. Sessions include a plenary panel featuring the respective Catapult chairs, followed by three parallel sessions focusing on autonomous vehicles, city planning, and a lively debate session – ‘Battle of Ideas’ – looking at the pros and cons of a connected world.

The Catapult is also involved in several other sessions throughout the conference, including ‘From Start-Up to Scale-up in the Space Sector’ and ‘Developing the Skills Pipeline’. Stuart Martin will also be a panellist in the ‘UK Space Growth Action Plan and Progress’ plenary.
