The Satellite Applications Catapult is seeking to establish a Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) Dynamic Framework (DF) to support the delivery objectives of our Ubiquitous Connectivity (UC) team.
The main objective of the UC team is to deliver on collaborative projects in partnership with consortium members for different types of customers ranging from end-users, industry, government/councils, LEPs etc. The framework is need for the following reasons. Firstly, we recognise that there are some areas of expertise which may not exist with the team, therefore this framework will hopefully fill these gaps. Secondly, in periods of peak project load, the framework will allow the offloading of work while the team takes a more supervisory role. Thirdly, it is hoped that the framework will support more efficient processes that will allow access to off-the-shelf as well as cutting edge technologies, solutions and products which will support us not only in the timely delivery through efficient purchases but also be in the forefront of innovation.
The Framework covers Radio Access Networks, Core Networks, Virtualisation Technology, Internet of Things, Satcom Terminal, Systems Engineering, Embedded Software Development, Radio Frequency, Field Programmable Gate Array, PNT, Satellite Telecommunications Payload, Data Architecture, Data Analysis and Solution Architecture. All suppliers who can demonstrate the relevant experience will be admitted onto the Framework. This is our contracting vehicle of the future so suppliers working in these areas who want to work with the Catapult should consider joining.
Applications are due by Monday 12 December and all information and documentation can be found on MyTenders.
Please note that prospective suppliers will need to register on the MyTenders portal in order to see the information however this is simple and free of charge.
