News

The Electron Building has now closed, the Satellite Applications Catapult team will operate remotely for a two-week transition period, before our new office opens. Technical facilities will remain open throughout, with no impact on existing bookings.

Below are travel and parking details for our new office at Quad 3, Rutherford Avenue, Harwell Science & Technology Park, Didcot, OX11 0DF, opens in September.


Directions by Road

From the A34 (Northbound):
Exit the A34 at Chilton Junction, branch left (signposted, Wantage), then merge onto the A4185. Go straight across the first roundabout. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Thomson Avenue. Turn left into the Tomson Avenue car park. Visitors are welcome to park in any of the space not allocated to other business on site. If this car park is full, please see the map below for alternatives.

From the A34 (Southbound):
Exit the A34 at the Milton Interchange Junction, the A4130 (A417) exit signposted Milton, Chilton, Didcot and Wantage. At the roundabout take the fourth exit signposted A4130 Wantage, Steventon, Drayton, Harwell. Follow this road for one and a half miles and continue straight on at the Rowstock roundabout onto the A4185. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Thomson Avenue. Turn left into the Tomson Avenue car park. Visitors are welcome to park in any of the space not allocated to other business on site. From London Airports

From Heathrow:

Take the M4 motorway towards Slough, Reading and the West. Continue as far as Junction 13 and then head North for about 8 miles on the A34 towards Oxford and follow the directions given above (A34 Northbound).

From Gatwick:

Take the M23 to London and Guildford. At Junction 7/8 join the M25 to Heathrow and Watford. At junction 15, take the M4 towards Slough, Reading and the West, and continue to junction 13. Head North for about 8 miles and follow the directions given above (A34 Northbound).

By Train

The nearest railway station is Didcot Parkway, served by trains from London Paddington.

Taxi or Bus:
The journey to the Satellite Applications Catapult is approximately 10-15 minute drive by taxi or bus from Didcot Parkway train station and approximately a 25-minute journey from Oxford train station.

By Bicycle

Travelling to Westcott

We are situated on the Westcott Venture Park off the A41 just outside of Aylesbury.

M40 Northbound:

Exit the M40 at Junction 7 and take the A329 exit for Thame. Turn right onto the A329 and at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A418. Follow the A418 and at the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Thame Rd/B4011. Follow the B4011 and at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Chearsley Rd. Continue to follow the road as it becomes Crendon Rd and then Winchendon Rd. Then turn left onto Cannon Hill. Follow the road onto Main St, then Ashendon Rd and then High St until you come to the last roundabout. Take the first exit onto Wellington Dr towards the security barrier.

M40 Southbound:

Exit the M40 at Junction 9 and use the left lane to take the A41/A34 exit to Bicester/Aylesbury/Oxford/Newbury. Follow the A41. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on A41. Keep right to stay on A41 taking you past Bicester Village. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on A41. At the last roundabout, take the 3rd exit and continue onto Wellington Dr towards the security barrier.

Please note:
On arrival at the site you will be greeted with the barrier system below, please take the left hand visitor lane to speak to the security gate and mention your meeting with the Satellite Applications Catapult (or the Catapult) and they will be able to provide directions for you from the barrier to the building you are visiting.
