Beyond Earth: Space & Semiconductor Collaboration Forum

The Beyond Earth: Space & Semiconductor Collaboration Forum brings together the UK space, semiconductor, photonics, research and innovation communities to explore new opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.

As the global space sector continues to grow, semiconductors are becoming critical enabling technologies for communications, power systems, sensing, autonomy, photonics and in-space manufacturing.

This one-day forum will explore how the UK can strengthen collaboration between the space and semiconductor ecosystems, with discussions focused on:

  • Advanced semiconductor technologies for space applications
  • Power electronics, photonics and communications
  • Skills, talent and workforce development
  • Funding, regulation and innovation pathways
  • Building long-term strategic collaboration networks

The event builds on previous Beyond Earth discussions around skills, regulation and funding as key enablers for collaboration, and aims to support the development of an ongoing Beyond Earth working group.

This event is part of the UK Beyond Earth Network (UK-BEN), a Connected Capability Network (CCN) funded by the Satellite Applications Catapult and delivered by the North West Space Cluster and partners at Space Wales, Space East, Harwell Space Cluster & Westcott Space Cluster.
