In this episode we’re delving into the intersection of agriculture and space technology.
Agriculture is the backbone of our food supply, but it is currently facing numerous challenges, particularly within its complex supply chains. By leveraging satellite imagery, remote sensing, and data analytics, we can optimise resource use and streamline supply chains, ultimately creating a more resilient and efficient agricultural system.

The Environmental Space Living Lab – ‘Bridging the gap between technology development and market adoption‘
The purpose of the ESLL is to advance scalable commercially viable technologies that address environmental and supply chain issues for farmers and end-users to adopt. By connecting technology developers with farmers, supply chain members, businesses, and academia, we facilitate effective collaboration, communication, and commercialisation.
We provide access to expertise, equipment, and test environments on land and water, enabling technology developers and farmers to further develop prototypes, collect data and demonstrate the market viability of innovative solutions at scale.
In this episode of Outer-Orbit we’re joined by Sarah Cheesborough to explore environmental monitoring and data access. Sarah and our host, Dallas Campbell, breakdown different scales of data – from imagining the planet to assess large-scale climate change damage, to impacts at farm level and precision farming solutions.
