Oxford’s Strengths: Primed for Growth

Oxford has a powerful set of assets in its university, government research facilities, and the numerous science parks which crowd around it. Even during Lock Down the start up, science and engineering sectors, have for the most part come through well, in part because of government funding, and in part because of the eco system which supports this community. The outlook, as a new-normal starts to establish itself, continues to look good. Is this optimism justified? A panel of expert speakers will bring their views to bear on this.

Speakers:

  • Peter Nolan – Non-executive Board Director of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OXLEP)
  • Stuart Grant – Chief Executive of the Harwell Campus
  • Tim Rea – Lead Investor at BGF

Panel Participants:

  • Scott Roberts, Co-Founder, CEO of Polar Technology: Covid Fall Out and Recovery Experience
  • Alex Snodgrass, Investor, Reading Office, BGF
  • Iain Butler, Partner and Corporate Lawyer, Royds Withy King, Oxford
