This month we will be joined by Tim Higginson and Peter Wilkins, the Defence and Security Accelerator’s (DASA) regional Innovation Partners for the East of England and South East England regions respectively. They will give an introduction to DASA, detail current funding opportunities and provide information about how suppliers can apply for DASA funding.

We will also have a short pitch form Jerome Harlington, Business Advisor at Buckinghamshire Business First, highlighting the support mechanisms available to businesses locally.

About DASA

The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) finds and funds exploitable innovation to support UK defence and security quickly and effectively, and support UK prosperity. Our vision is for the UK to maintain its strategic advantage over its adversaries through the most innovative defence and security capabilities in the world. DASA is a cross-Government organisation, launched in December 2016 by the Secretary of State for Defence. Since then we have assessed almost 4,000 proposals and funded almost 25% of them at a total cost of over £130m. Over half of the proposals received have come from small or medium-sized enterprises.
