Catapult seeks agri-tech insights from UK farmers

The Satellite Applications Catapult is targeting the UK farming community through a survey designed to provide feedback about awareness and use of satellite-enabled agri-tech.
Working with London Economics, the Catapult is hoping to gain important insights from UK farmers about their use of certain types of technology on their farms, and specifically satellite-enabled technologies.
Satellite Applications Catapult Agri-Tech Business Development Manager, Vladimir Stoiljkovic, said: “This survey will inform ongoing research that seeks to identify ways to facilitate the adoption of these technologies which can make farming more efficient, improve crop yield, and reduce the environmental impact.”
The survey, which takes no more than ten minutes to complete, questions farmers about their awareness of satellite-enabled agri-tech; current use of different types of satellite-based technologies (if any); benefits enjoyed and difficulties experienced of using these technologies; and an understanding of why non-users have not yet embraced agri-tech and what might change that in the future.
The survey is available at surveys.londoneconomics.co.uk/s/agritech and closes on 14 August.
