Introduction
The traditional approach of developing and realising space-enabled services can take considerable time and upfront investment, making people cautious and less receptive to new ideas, stifling innovation.
The Agile Space Intervention wants to make this process faster, aiming to reduce the time it takes for services to be brought to market. We will utilise the strengths of the UK’s space industry and tackle the problems that are slowing things down, helping entrepreneurs get their ideas into space more quickly.

Background
The space economy is worth around $450 billion globally. In the UK, the space sector contributes £16.5 billion and supports industries to the tune of £300 billion. The growth and potential of space activities and capabilities has attracted many new countries and organisations to the sector and the UK needs to innovate to remain competitive and relevant in this market.
In order to maintain or improve the UK’s market share we must lead as a responsible actor in space and make the most of the opportunities space presents, we must act to accelerate the speed at which ‘ideas’ can become commercially viable in space. We must break down barriers to innovation, process, and commercialisation, developing a responsive UK space sector that brings value and competitive advantage.
A stronger position within space leads to a stronger position for our nation within the global economy. Having an agile space sector will drive revenue into the UK.
