Space Manufacturing Working Group

Welcome to the Space Manufacturing Working Group (SMWG), a coalition bringing together the expertise of the Satellite Applications Catapult and the High Value Manufacturing Centres, including AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre), NCC (National Composites Centre), NMIS (National Manufacturing Institute Scotland), CPI (Centre for Process Innovation), MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre), WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group), and NAMRC (Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre).


Our mission is clear: to bolster the UK manufacturing sector’s capabilities, drive unparalleled innovation, and secure a leading position in the global space industry. By leveraging our collective expertise, resources, and networks, we aim to unlock new opportunities, foster technological advancements, and facilitate sustainable growth within the space manufacturing sector.
