Funding opportunity for Placement Hosts/Employers

The Space Placements in Industry (SPIN) scheme brokers placement opportunities for university students considering employment in the space sector and connects them to space sector organisations who not only want to find the most talented and enthusiastic people to ensure the future success of their businesses, but also to ensure a pipeline of space savvy candidates coming out of education. Students are enthusiastic to work in the space sector and are keen to develop new skills.

This year, we invite applications for the 2025 scheme for all those host companies who would be in a position to fund their own SPINterns.

As such, this process is significantly streamlined for 2025, as the programme is not in a position to provide funding support for our hosts. However, being part of the SPINternship group provides:

  • Advertisement hosted on the SPIN website to leverage our community of students
  • Free access to the Be Applied hiring platform with a track record of championing unbiased hiring
  • Optional attendance at the Catapult Induction Day and SPIN Showcase
  • Support to the programme to allow us to build toward future sponsorship of the programme
  • Access to any subsequent funding support that may become available to us for 2025
