Space Placements in Industry
Funding opportunity for Placement Hosts/Employers
The Space Placements in Industry (SPIN) scheme brokers placement opportunities for university students considering employment in the space sector and connects them to space sector organisations who not only want to find the most talented and enthusiastic people to ensure the future success of their businesses, but also to ensure a pipeline of space savvy candidates coming out of education. Students are enthusiastic to work in the space sector and are keen to develop new skills.
The scheme is managed by the Satellite Applications Catapult and funded by the UK Space Agency (UKSA). It has been running since 2013 and continues to grow in popularity, with demand always outstripping supply.
For 2024, the UKSA is seeking to double the number of placement opportunities across the sector and has commissioned the Catapult to deliver the Programme.
The Catapult is delighted to be able to announce this opportunity for space sector organisations to apply for grant funding to support the offer of a work placement to a registered university student, enabling them to develop their skills and experience of the space sector workforce.

Applied Training
Zoom Training Sessions - Applied is an ethical hiring ATS.
