A one-day workshop designed to explore the potential for space technology to unlock new opportunities in your sector. This professionally facilitated event brings together experts in satellite technology, business strategy, and design thinking to delve into the specific challenges your industry faces and uncover opportunities to use space technology to address these. Following the workshop our team can support you in identifying the next steps to capitalise on the opportunities discovered ensuring a clear path to impact.

The Space Enterprise Community is designed to support the whole space ecosystem. One of its aims is to provide funding and business support to high impact, locally led by clusters across all regions of the UK.

We have created the Space Enterprise Labs (SEL) – regional spaces for innovation that are digitally inclusive. As an extension of the Space Enterprise Community, the Space Enterprise Labs will provide users with access to resources, virtual demonstrations, and Catapult experts.

Our aim is to create an environment that encourages innovation through collaboration, mentorship, and networking. Whether you are a start-up business or an established one, with our flexible Co-Space packages you can select the option that is most suited to your needs.

The Environmental Space Living Lab unites space, market and tech experts with policy makers, academia, and end users. This collaborative space enables the exploration and analysis of challenges, co-designing and testing innovative solutions, and accelerating their commercialisation. By doing so, it drives business growth while generating long-term social and environmental impacts.

Hosted by the Satellite Applications Catapult in Harwell and dedicated to the space sector, the Satuccino networking event is an opportunity to find out the latest industry news, funding opportunities and business pitches from across the industry. As usual, there will also be the chance to spend some time after the event networking or simply catching up with friends and colleagues. In partnership with the UK Space Agency, the Satellite Applications Catapult is excited to be offering a series of Space Technology Innovation Masterclasses, where sector experts will share tools and techniques for designing with space technology and support you to explore these using your own services as examples.

At the Satellite Applications Catapult, we employ a User Centred Design (UCD) approach to space enabled service development, putting the user at the heart of product, technology, or service design to de-risk its development. It is this approach that we use to help people determine the right type of data, technology, or opportunities for their application, and we want to share it with you.

There are four Masterclasses available, starting with taking a user centred approach to better understand the problems you are trying to solve, to focusing on understanding your place in the Earth observation data landscape, leveraging connectivity to ensure your data service can be delivered to anywhere, and identifying where you might sit in the value chain for the creation and delivery of in-space services!
