Skills for Space – CEMAST Open Day
Friday October 15th 13:30-15:30
The South East is home to over 450 space-related companies, employing over 10,500 people. Industrial capabilities cover the full range of activities across space manufacturing, space operations, space applications and ancillary services resulting in a thriving community making significant contributions to the UK economy.
The future of the UK space sector is bright but we need to inspire and train the next-generation of space technologists, scientists and engineers to ensure industry has access to the very best talent.
Fareham College’s Centre of Excellence for Engineering, Manufacture and Advanced Skills Training (CEMAST) is a £12 million pioneering state-of-the-art facility with industry-leading workshops, technology and equipment, providing students with a unique and industry standards training environment. Training hundreds of apprentices, the CEMAST team prides themselves on working with employers to create industry-leading training and already have experience of training future Space Engineers.
Working in partnership with CEMAST, we invite you and your business to attend our Skills for Space Open day. After presentations from the UK Space Agency and CEMAST there will be opportunities to explore the facilities and meet the team. Join us and find out how CEMAST can work with you.
Please note that this is an in-person event. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. On-site car-parking is available.
